A Yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for West Berkshire, writes Summer Hyde.
The Met Office is warning of heavy showers and thunderstorms throughout today (Tuesday).
The yellow weather warning is in place between 11am and 10pm, encompassing large parts of the south – including West Berkshire and North Hampshire.
It warns that “driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail”.
There are further Met warnings about flooding being possible, lighting strikes, hail and powers loses, due to the slow moving storms.
There may also be a possibility of delays to train services, as up to 40mm of rain could fall within a few hours.
