Stranger tried to urge girl into car
Police are appealing for information after the incident in Hungerford yesterday (Monday)
A TEENAGE girl was approached by a suspicious man as she walked to Hungerford train station on Monday morning, police have warned.
The 14-year-old was walking along Fairview Road between 7.50am and 8am when a man driving a small red and tatty looking car pulled alongside her and asked her to get inside.
Despite the girl refusing, the man followed her along Fairview Road in the car and asked her to get inside again, before driving off towards Hungerford town centre.
Thames Valley Police is now urging any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
The man is described as Asian, between 30 and 40 years old, clean-shaven, of a stocky build with black short hair.
He was wearing a plain red short-sleeved T-shirt.
