Reading Magistrates’ Court: Compton strangulation accused denied bail




A MAN accused of intentionally strangling a woman has been remanded in custody.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 3, was Christopher Flynn.

The 52-year-old, of Wilson Close, Compton, is accused of intentionally strangling Elaine Dyson in Newbury on or about November 10 last year.

He is further accused of assaulting Ms Dyson by beating her in Newbury on November 10 last year.

Magistrates adjourned both matters and sent them to Reading Crown Court to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury on a date to be fixed.

They meanwhile denied Mr Flynn bail and he was remanded in custody.
