Reading Magistrates' Court: Man accused of assaulting and manually strangling a woman has charges dismissed

CHARGES have been dropped against a man accused of a strangulation offence.

Lee Budge, of Curling Way, Newbury, had been charged with strangling Kelly Hart.

The 37-year-old faced a further charge of assaulting Kelly Hart by beating her.

Both offences were said to have been committed in Newbury between Monday, August 1, and Wednesday, August 31.

On Tuesday, January 10, the prosecution offered no evidence on either charge.

They were therefore both formally dismissed.
