Dapper Street closes its Newbury Parkway store
Independent retailer Dapper Street has closed its Newbury store.
After opening in Bartholomew Street nearly a decade ago, the designer streetwear store moved to Parkway in 2017.
The shop, known for selling products from clothing brands such as Fred Perry, Carhartt WIP and Obey, closed its doors for the final time last Thursday (December 1).
A goodbye note on the shop window stated: “We’d like to thank every loyal customer who has supported us over the years. It has meant the world to us.
“We’re a small, family-run independent business and unfortunately ever rising costs, reduced footfall and splitting sales with similar retailers means this location is no longer viable.”
The Witney branch of Dapper Street will remain open, as well as the company’s website www.dapperstreet.co.uk
Valid gift cards and credit notes can be used in the Witney Dapper Street and The Outdoorist stores.
