Stuntman who jumped from sky with no parachute visits West Berkshire
Gary Connery (pictured right) demonstrated several stunts, including fight scenes and smashing sugar bottles - to give the effect of shattered glass - over his head, when he visited pupils at The Willink School, Burghfield, last Thursday.
The stuntman also gave a talk about his work in Batman Begins, The Beach, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Mr Connery set a new world record last month when he jumped from a helicopter at 2400 feet without a parachute and wearing only a wingsuit, landing on a giant stack of cardboard boxes in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
The Willink headteacher, Peter Fry said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the students at The Willink School to speak directly to Gary about working in the industry and inspire, raise aspirations and help them learn about working in the film business.”
