Summer fun at the Nature Discovery Centre
The Thatcham centre will host bugs, birds, creepy crawlies and I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here themed games
TARANTULAS, a praying mantis and giant millipedes are just some of the creepy crawlies appearing at the Nature Discovery Centre over the summer months to keep children entertained.
Yesterday (Thursday) Martin Rapley was at the centre with his big bugs for his second visit to the Thatcham centre this month.
If you didn't catch him then, he will be returning on August 25.
On August 10, visitors can test out their nerve in tasks and activities inspired by the TV programme I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
If bugs aren't to your taste, Ray Prior will be arriving with his birds of prey on August 12
and 17, and night owls can join Dave Endicott and Belinda the Bat on August 19 and 26 to see the lake after dark.
On August 23, Mr Rapley will be back, along with a selection of creatures, to illustrate the ways in which animals adapt to their environments, and Petwise Zoo will be holding a safari day on September 1.
Tickets cost £4.50 per person.
Children under 16 must be ccompanied by a paying adult.
