Sunshine draws in the runners to support Welford and Wickham school

Among the participants was 2009 World Championship gold medal runner Andrew James, who completed the 10km race in 40 minutes 11 seconds, a record time for the event.
The first female to cross the line was Lisa Souden, completing in 46 minutes 57 seconds, coming in at 14th place overall.
And the village’s youngsters proved they were not fazed by a bit of friendly competition with dozens turning out to take to the track for the 2.4km race and the 600m fun run.
Little runners Toby Thorp, Lottie Hay, Alistair Thorp, Molly Alexander, William Waterston, Sophie Pannett-Smith, Pedro Vasconcelos and Mei Amorelli all took home trophies on the day.
The event was organised by the Welford and Wickham Friends Association and race director Sue Chisholm said: “We were delighted to have such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
“A big thank you to all our runners and spectators who joined us on Sunday to make it such a spectacular success.”
