Superfast Broadband roll-out begins in Burghfield today (Tuesday)

Burghfield and Burghfield Common will be the first communities to benefit from superfast broadband in the district supported by the Superfast Berkshire project.
Local children will take part in a 'broadband sprint' race to mark the event, along with demonstrations of fibre broadband technology.
There will be also be presentations from the chairman of West Berkshire Council, Jeff Beck, the chairman of Burghfield Parish Council, Paul Lawrence, and BT South East Regional Director, Dave Axam.
The roll-out is via the Superfast Berkshire project, part of the national Broadband Delivery UK scheme, which aims to supply 97 per cent of the county with speeds in excess of 24mbps and remaining areas of at least 2mpbs.
