Support Forces Support at Thatcham gig

Organiser Marie Townsend is gathering bands for a night of entertainment with all proceeds going to Forces Support, a charity that supports military families who have lost a serving member.
It carries out jobs around the home that would have been done by the family member and work that has built up while the family grieves.
She said: “Having seen that the lottery had refused to help and as an ex military wife I wanted to raise awareness of this fabulous charity,that helps bereaved families.
"Seeing the smiles on children’s faces when they see their new playhouse or the faces of parents and wives when they have a memorial arbour built, a bedroom repainted or just a shelf put up lets them know their loved ones are not forgotten and we will remember them.
“Having been involved with bands for a very long time I thought an ideal way to raise some money was to put on a music night featuring local bands.”
The gig will be held on February 6, 2015 at the function room Thatcham Bowling Alley from 7pm until midnight.
