At a previous hearing, the 25-year-old, of Lancaster Close, Hungerford, denied assaulting Jordan Clayton Giddens by beating her in Hungerford on April 20 last year.

But at the latest hearing, he changed his plea and admitted committing the offence.

Bloomfield, who was legally represented by Beth Vaughn, was sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment, suspended for one year.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £400 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £154.

Finally, magistrates made Bloomfield subject to a restraining order preventing him from contacting Ms Giddens, either directly or indirectly.

The order will last until March 19, 2027.
