The 54-year-old, of Mallard Way, Aldermaston, admitted driving a Kia Sportage on the A4 Bath Road in Theale on Friday, August 2, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 126mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in her system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Ms Taylor, who was legally represented by Gianpaolo Damiani, was sentenced to six weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.

Magistrates said a prison sentence, albeit suspended, was necessary because of the high alcohol reading.

In addition, Ms Taylor was ordered to complete 40 hours of unpaid community work.

Next, she was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £154.

Finally, Ms Taylor was banned from driving for 30 months.
