Reading Magistrates' Court: suspended sentence for Greenham motorist
A MOTORIST has been sentenced to a suspended prison sentence for driving while disqualified.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 15, was Joshua Anthony Ash.
At a previous hearing the 30-year-old, of Greyberry Copse Road, Greenham, had pleaded guilty to driving a BMW X5 on the A4 Bath Road in Thatcham while banned from the road.
In addition, he admitted driving without insurance on the same occasion.
The court heard both offences were committed on Wednesday, May 5.
Magistrates adjourned for pre-sentence reports to be prepared.
At Wednesday's hearing Mr Ash was fined £400 and sentenced to 16 weeks imprisonment, suspended for two years.
In addition he was ordered to pay £85 costs plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £128.
