Tackling bike thefts

The first of two events to combat a rise in bike thefts will be held in Newbury today (Saturday)
IN order to help combat a rise in bike thefts across the district the Newbury Neighbourhood Police Team has organised two bike marking events.
The first takes place today (Saturday) in the rear car park at St Bartholomew's School, Newbury, from 12-2pm, with a second event at Newbury Retail Park on June 18 from 10am to 2pm.
Visitors can bring their bikes along to be postcode marked, receive free crime reduction advice and vouchers for bike retailers in Newbury.
