Tadley man in 70's assaulted in burglary





According to Hampshire Constabulary,the incident occurred at about 9.15pm on Friday, April 12 at a house in Church Road.
Three men forced their way into the house and once inside they assaulted a 76-year-old man who lives at the house.
A 74-year-old woman who also lives at the address managed to raise the alarm with a neighbour causing the burglars to flee the scene.
At this time it is not thought that anything was stolen.
Dc Sian Newland said: “Both of the victims have been left very shaken by this incident and the man was taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs.
“I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident and witnessed anything suspicious.”
