Tadley Tea Party returns on bank holiday Saturday

Venue size increased to cope with demand

THE TADLEY tea party on bank holiday Saturday has seen the venue increased in size to cope with demand.

The party, which this year has an Alice in Wonderland theme, promises a 12-hour music marathon, with nine bands on the main stage, at Barlows Park in Silchester Road, the home of Tadley Calleva FC.

There will be three stages – Wonderland, Mad Hatters and Queens Croquet – plus a dance tent, and the event will be headlined by Mancunian band The Marivaux.

Stilt walkers, fire eaters, jugglers and Morris dancers will entertain, with children’s story time sessions, a craft workshop and inflatables.

Activities also include complimentary therapies, Frank’s funfair and a wide range of food and drinks.

Tickets are available online, costing £20 for adult (£25 on the door), £9 for teens (£10), £45 for a family ticket (£50), while under-12s go free.

Funds raised will go to the Tadley Calleva youth teams and the Helping Hands charity, in Franklin Avenue, Tadley.
