Tadley woman dies following suspected medical episode
85-year-old discovered beside a car with head injury
A TADLEY woman has died, following a suspected medical episode in south Tadley yesterday (Mon) morning.
The woman, aged 85, died at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital yesterday afternoon, Hampshire Constabulary have today confirmed.
South Central Ambulance Service was called at 10.18am to a road near The Green after the woman was discovered at the location by the side of a car with a head injury and initially in a life-threatening condition.
"Crews on scene believe the patient suffered a medical emergency and as a result, collapsed and suffered a head injury," said David Gallagher, a spokesman for the ambulance service.
"As well as the air ambulance, we sent two officers, an ambulance and the local Tadley community first responder to the scene."
The woman was taken by road to the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, with the air ambulance crew travelling in the back of the ambulance.
Police carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area and several police cars were reported to be at the scene.
