Thatcham tattoo studio Skin Wizard raises £2,780 for Oxford Children’s Hospital Charity
Thatcham’s Skinwizard Tattoo Studio raised £2,780 for the Oxford Children’s Hospital Charity at Newbury Tattoo Convention at the racecourse on Saturday and Sunday, August 3 and 4 , reports Grace Clift.
Owner Paul Feane and his wife Tasha decided to donate to the Oxford Children’s Hospital Charity in memory of Paul’s mother Sheila, who died with ovarian cancer three years ago.
All the money from tattoos given at the Newbury Tattoo Convention went to charity and many customers paid extra when they found out it was for good causes.
Mr Feane said they were “overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone” and wanted to say a special thank you to the other artists in the studio, Sam Vallance and Lauren Brown.
Skinwizard Tattoo Studio hopes to do a charity event every year at Newbury Tattoo Convention to raise money for other local charities.
Paul’s mother was a regular donor to Cancer Research and children’s charities.
Oxford Children’s Hospital Charity has specialist wards, including a cancer ward, and money raised goes towards patient monitoring systems and parents’ accommodation.
