Taxi driver punched in Greenham robbery





The 41-year-old was in his car in Gaskell Mews, at the junction with Howarth Court, when he was approached by a group of five men at around 11pm on Friday, October 17.
He was then punched in the side of the head by one man while another leaned through the driver's window and attempted to steal the Sat Nav and money.
The driver was not injured and managed to drive off and report the incident to police.
Nothing was stolen.
The offenders are described as white and aged between 18 and 25-years-old. One of them was wearing a white, grey and blue vertical striped hooded top.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed until Thursday, November 20.
