Team taches raise funds for charity

Movember UK is a charity championed by Tornadoes U16 manager, Peter Benton, and his squad to raise awareness and money for prostate and testicular cancer and men’s health.
More than 300 players, coaches and parents from every squad from the U6s to the men’s team took part and raised £426.38 for these two charities.
The fastest boot honours went to Steve Lee, the Tornadoes men’s goalkeeper, who set a new club record of 70mph. The overall record of 74mph set by Luke Mason at Thatcham's Family Fun Day still stands.

The men’s team also united behind team-mate Jon Chard after his fiancée Amy Graham was diagnosed with breast
cancer at the age of 25.
The team took part in a charity head-shave last month for Stand Up to Cancer, raising around £15,000.
During 2014, the Thatcham Tornadoes SPX Charity Speedshot has been in action and raised over £2,600 for 13 different charities, more than half of them local, and the club would like to thank everyone who has taken part for their generous support.
