Teddy bears picnic comes to Bucklebury Farm Park

ABOUT 100 children helped raise £200 for a children’s hospice by taking part in a teddy bears’ picnic at Bucklebury Farm Park last week.
Children were invited to bring along their favourite teddy, go on a bear hunt and spot some famous bears while raising money for the Helen and Douglas House charity.
The event, which is now in its fifth year, featured all the usual attractions including meeting the deer and the wild boar, tractor and trailer rides and the chance to feed the animals. Youngsters also met the park's latest additions, lambs and kids, took part in a nature trail and had time in the adventure playground.
Event organiser Kate Waters said: “We had a really fun day with lots of lovely teddies brought along. The children and their bears enjoyed the woodland trail and face painting and helped us raise funds for a wonderful cause.”
