Osman Haron, teen accused of carrying blade and causing affray in Thatcham Broadway, is locked up




A JUDGE has remanded a teenager accused of carrying a large knife and causing an affray in Thatcham Broadway in custody.

Osman Haron appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 28.

The 18-year-old, of Bluecoats, Thatcham, is accused of causing affray by using, or threatening, unlawful violence.

Next, he is accused of having a large, black handled kitchen knife.

Thirdly, Mr Haron is charged with obstructing or resisting a police officer.

All those offences are said to have been committed in The Broadway, Thatcham, on May 26.

Finally, Mr Haron is accused of assaulting a police officer on duty in Reading on May 27.

District judge Samuel Goozee adjourned the case until a later date, for a bail hearing with an interpreter to be arranged.

Mr Haron will then be expected to enter pleas to all four charges.

In the meantime Judge Goozee declined to grant bail and Mr Haron was remanded in custody.
