Lambourn teen Oscar Self denies trying to rape girl
A TEENAGER was due to go on trial charged with attempted rape and other sex offences.
Oscar Self appeared in the dock at Reading magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 23.
The 18-year-old, of Northfields, Lambourn, is accused of trying to rape a girl aged 13 or over.
Next, he is charged with causing a girl to engage in a sex act when she did not consent.
Finally, Mr Self – who was a youth himself when the alleged offences were said to have been committed – is accused of sexually touching a girl when she did not consent.
All the above offences were said to have happened in the Hungerford postal area on various specified dates.
Magistrates told Mr Self the case could proceed no further that day and that it would be adjourned for a trial to be arranged.
Mr Self was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
