Police appeal for witnesses after teenage girl was kicked, punched and dragged by her hair in GBH incident in Mortimer




A teenager remains in hospital after being attacked by a group of girls in a playing field.

The teenage girl was assaulted in Mortimer playing fields, opposite the Horse and Groom pub, on Saturday (February 24) at around 5.45pm.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the grievous bodily harm incident.

TVP said the group of girls kicked and punched the victim and dragged her by her hair.

A car then arrived and a young female passenger wearing a white dressing gown got out of the car and attacked the victim before returning to the vehicle and leaving the scene.

The victim has sustained GBH-level injuries which required hospital treatment and remains there at this time.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Izzy Denis, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident or who has dash-cam or phone footage from the area around the time that it happened, to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information about what happened can also make a report by calling 101 or via the website, quoting reference 43240088079.
