Teenage girl pushed into canal in assault in Newbury
A teenaged girl has been pushed into the canal in Newbury.
And Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses to the assault.
The girl was pushed into the Kennet and Avon Canal by an offender on Friday (January 26) between 7pm – 8pm.
The incident occurred on the canal path between Newbury town centre and the Monkey Bridge.
The offender is described as a man, of average build, over 5ft 8ins tall.
He was wearing a black beanie hat, black coat and dark coloured bottoms.
Investigating officer based at Newbury police station PC Dan Parnell said: “I would like to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed, or who may have information, about the incident to come forwards.
