Teenager attacked and robbed near Greenham leisure centre
The incident happened around 8pm in Newbury on Friday, March 9, as the victim was walking along Pyle Hill, near to Greenacre Leisure Centre, when he was attacked from behind by two men.
The offenders pushed the victim to the ground and demanded his money, at which point his mobile phone, a black Apple iPhone4 S, rung in his pocket and he was told to hand it over.
The robbers also stole £30, before running away. After a short distance they were joined by two other people who ran off with them.
The robbers are white and were wearing dark tracksuits; one of them is about 6ft 2ins, has short blonde or brown hair and is aged in his mid twenties, while the other is about 5ft 10ins.
PC Nigel Woodall from Newbury police station said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident or noticed four people in dark clothing in Pyle Hill or near to the Air Control Tower on Greenham Common between 8pm and 9.30pm on Friday.”
