Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury teen denies Thatcham weapon offence

A TEENAGER is to go on trial accused of carrying a blade in public.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, July 7, was Alex Warren.

The 18-year-old, of Astley Close, Newbury, is accused of having a bladed instrument in public in Loundyes Close, Thatcham, on December 2 last year, without good reason or lawful authority.

Mr Warren, who was legally represented by Gianpaolo Damiani, spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.

He was told the case could proceed no further that and it was adjourned for a trial to be arranged.

Mr Warren was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
