Reading Magistrates' Court: Thatcham teen denies drink-driving




A TEENAGER is set to go on trial accused of drink-driving.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, December 21, was Corey Braybrooke.

The 19-year-old, of Park Avenue, Thatcham, is accused of driving a Daelim motorcycle on Park Avenue in January 1, New Year's Day, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests are said to have shown 146mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system.

The legal limit is 80mg.

Mr Braybrooke, who was legally represented by Joanne Benn, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.

He was told the case could proceed no further that day and it was adjourned for a trial to be arranged.

Mr Braybrooke was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
