Teenager robbed in Thatcham
Police are searching for witnesses after a teenager had his mobile phone stolen in Northfield Road
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager's mobile telephone was grabbed from him and stolen.
The 14-year-old victim had been walking home, along Northfield Road, between Tesco and the mini roundabout junction with Bowling Green Road, at around 5.20pm last Wednesday (February 9) when he was stopped by an older boy on a BMX bike who asked him for the time.
The younger boy took his mobile phone from his pocket to tell him the time, but was then threatened.
As the younger boy tried to run away, the older boy grabbed hold of him by his jacket until he handed over his phone.
The older boy then ran off.
He has been described as white, about 17-years-old and 5ft 9in, with a medium build and spiky brown hair.
He was wearing a grey hooded top and dark jogging bottoms at the time of the offence.
