Thames Valley Police appeal for witnesses after teenager stabbed in Prospect Road in Hungerford on either June 29 or June 30




Police have appealed for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in Hungerford.

At around 12.40am on Sunday, June 30, South Central Ambulance Service reported they were treating a man in his late teens for stab wounds in Prospect Road.

The victim was wounded to his side, his arm and his forehead and required treatment at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

He has since been discharged.

The victim was wearing a light-blue polo shirt, black shorts and a man bag across his shoulder.

Investigating officer DC Elin Wylie-Davies said: “I understand this assault may be concerning but we believe there is no risk to the wider public.

“We are working tirelessly with our partners to tackle serious violence and will not tolerate it on our patch, so we are investigating this as a priority.

“We are appealing to anyone in the Hungerford or surrounding areas who may have any information about it.

“The victim was attacked at some point between 8.45pm on Saturday, June 29, and 12.30am on Sunday.

“If you have any CCTV footage or any dash-cam footage if you were in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
