Ten days until Stockcross festival

Live music, a ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ and a murder mystery evening are just some of the events planned for a two week festival in the village of Stockcross next month.
The festival - which will be held from August 9 - 24 - will see more than 35 events held at different venues across the village over the course of the fortnight.
Last year saw the event held for the first time - and it proved so popular that organisers have been busy putting the finishing touches to this year’s event.
Among the other highlights is a festival pub quiz at the Lord Lyon, a cheese and wine tasting evening at Stockcross House and an aeriel acrobatics display at the village hall.
There will also be tennis coaching, morris dancing, argentine tango dancing and village rounders and a dog show to keep all ages entertained.

Last year’s event raised more than £10,000.
