Thatcham barmaid fined for drunken night out
19-year-old admits being drunk and disorderly
A BARMAID was arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
In the dock at West Berkshire Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 1, was 19-year-old Corinne Deacon of Vincent Road, Thatcham.
Zainab Mohamed, prosecuting, said: “Officers were called to a bar in Thatcham following reports that a female was being restrained.
“She was sat outside the bar screaming loudly and several people were trying to calm her down.
“She swore at officers and was arrested.”
The part-time barmaid then produced a bag containing cannabis, the court heard.
She admitted being drunk and disorderly in the Kingsland Centre, Thatcham, on September 13 and possessing a Class B controlled drug on the same occasion.
Ms Deacon, who also has previous convictions, the court heard, represented herself but had nothing to say about the offences.
She was fined £100 and ordered to pay a £180 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £20.
