Thatcham belly dance teacher's globe trotting China trip

Helen Santa Maria, whose Santa Maria Belly Dance Academy is based at the Allenova School of Dance in Thatcham, recently (Oct 6) visited China to perform in the Beijing Traditional Music Festival.
“ I was there with three other bellydancers and an Egyptian band (the Ramzy Egyptian Ensemble). There were performers from all over the world showcasing their traditional music and dance,” said Mrs Santa Maria, adding:
“We performed in two shows during the festival which went on for a week and we also managed to fit in some sightseeing!”
