Thatcham carol service on today (Sunday)

A CHRISTMAS carol service will be held in Thatcham this afternoon (Sunday).
The event will be hosted by the mayor, Lee Dillon, at St Mary's Church, Church Gate, from 4pm.
This year the service will be lead by the Rev. Mark Bennett with representatives from the mayor's charities and local schools and organisations taking part.
Barfield Handbell Ringers will be playing three pieces during the service and St Mary's Church Choir have chosen three songs to perform in addition to the selection of carols and hymns that the congregation will be singing.
Refreshments will be served after the service and the collection will be in aid of the mayor's charities - Newbury and Thatcham Branch of Parkinson's UK and Thatcham Relief in Need, Time to Talk 14-21.
All are welcome to attend the free event.
