Thatcham girl wins a wedding in The Post competition

Delighted couple Lucy-Anne Walker and Mikey Wilson have won their very own wedding in the Win a Wedding competition held by The Post venue at Snelsmore Common.

When told the great news, Lucy exclaimed: “Oh my God, that’s amazing.

"I’m in shock, I don’t know what to say! Thank you so much!”

The couple will enjoy their prize of a complimentary wedding at The Post Barn in 2022.

Bride to be Miss Walker said that she entered the competition the morning that her Mum saw it in the paper.

She said: "Mum spotted it in the paper and said you need to enter this.

I was working the morning it appeared, we entered it straight away."

Miss Walker, who lives in Thatcham with her fiancé, said that winning felt "surreal".

"We bought a house last year, we thought it would take years to save up to have a wedding."

“We still can’t believe it!" she added.

The prize includes an indoor or outdoor ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception.

The winner also receives a wedding dress, flowers, photography, wedding cake, bespoke stationery, disco and fireworks for their big day.
