Thatcham man assaulted then fined at Newbury pub

Thames Valley Police spokesman, Craig Evry, confirmed police were called at 5.44pm to the Narrow Boat pub in London Road.
A man had assaulted a 38-year-old man from Thatcham, according to Mr Evry.
There were no arrests in connection with the assault, but the 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a section five public order offence and issued with an £80 fixed penalty notice.
Spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance, Ngozi Fakeye, confirmed an ambulance attended the pub at around 6pm and took a man to West Berkshire Community Hospital.
