Thatcham man wins new Audi RSQ3 with £50,000 in the boot in BOTB competition
A Thatcham man has won a brand new Audi RSQ3 Sportback Vorsprung worth £66,000 in an online competition.
And, if that wasn’t enough, it came with £50,000 stuffed in the boot.
Builder James Corcoran builder hit the nail on the head when taking part in the online Best of the Best (BOTB) competition.
BOTB, which was founded in 1999, hands over the keys to a dream car each week with a lifestyle prize.
So far it has given away £64m worth of cars.
The 42-year-old father of three said he was absolutely stunned to have won.
“It still hasn’t sunk in,” he said.
“I’ve been playing for about five years and have watched a lot of the videos of the winners, but it was nothing like I expected.”
He said he was considering taking the cash alternative so he and his family could move house.
“I love Audis but the money will come in very handy as we are looking to move house and find somewhere to rent.
“We’ve been living at my father-in-law’s house over the last four years after he fell ill, but he has stabilised now.”
He added: “Other than that, we wouldn’t do anything crazy with the money.
“It would just be nice to have some savings which we haven’t had for a long time.”
Mr Corcoran was surprised by BOTB presenter Christian Williams who delivered the good news.
Mr Williams said: “A huge congratulations to James for winning this amazing prize.
“The car is stunning and I’m sure the money will come in very handy for the family as they look to make some truly momentous decisions about their future.”
