Thatcham men charged with possessing criminal property

One of the men, of Green Lane, was charged with one count of acquiring and possessing criminal property and one count of perverting the course of justice.
The other, also of Green Lane, has been charged with one count of perverting the course of justice.
The offences are in relation to allegations that the two men, who both work as shopkeepers in a convenience store in the Thatcham area, bought and sold products from shoplifters to resell in their store.
The two men are then alleged to have deleted CCTV evidence associated with this offence.
They have been bailed to appear at Newbury Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 1.
