Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre closing over hot August weekend due to illness

The popular visitor centre will be closed on both Saturday, August 6, and Sunday, August 7.
The centre is having to close over the weekend because of ongoing staffing issues.
However, the grounds and car park will be open for visitors wanting to take a walk around the lake.
The Nature Discovery Centre post on social media stated: "We're very sorry but the NDC will be closed this weekend. The centre, cafe, shop and all toilets will be closed.
"Car park and grounds will be open as usual.
"We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience – please help us to let other potential visitors know."
Visitors will still be able to walk around the lake and enjoy the wildlife.
