Kennet School in Thatcham in T-Level promotional film with Association of Colleges

A school in Thatcham has welcomed the Association of Colleges for promotional filming of its T-Levels.

The cameras have been rolled at Kennet School, in Stoney Lane, which has introduced a number of T-Level subjects for its Sixth Form students in 2022.

The vocational courses have been gradually introduced into the curriculum since 2020.

They are designed to give 16- to 19-year-olds a technical alternative to traditional qualifications.

And now a light is being shone on their progress.

This initiative is part of a nationwide promotional video.

It says the collaboration sparks the beginning of a series, capturing the students’ journey as they prepare for T-Level study.

The school says it is honoured to showcase its Foundation Programme in particular.

Headteacher Grace Rigg said: “So proud of how our T-Level provision is progressing.

“It’s truly inspiring to witness the dedication of our students and staff as they embrace these innovative pathways to success, paving the way for a brighter future in vocational education.”

The T-Level qualifications on offer are business, education and early years, and health.

It will be launching media and onsite construction in September this year.
