Thatcham u3a gets in on Thatcham Festival fun

The Thatcham u3a had a great time kicking off the annual Thatcham Festival at the weekend.

A number of groups took part in the u3a open day on Friday, October 6 – which was the first event of the festival.

Of the groups in attendance were wine tasting, luncheon clubs, book clubs, walking and table-top games of various kinds.

Thatcham u3a offered visitors the chance to see something about all the groups open to them if they decided to join.

The mayor and mayoress of Thatcham, Mark and Jenny Lillycrop, visited the event and stayed to speak to all of the exhibitors.

One of the u3a’s groups, Songsters, sang to all the stall holders and visitors.
