Lynda Clarke, 45, from Thatcham, Brendan Banham, 22, from Tadley, Frankie Gregory, 23, from Bramley, and Elena Myles, 29, from Tadley, all charged with variety of offences by Thames Valley Police




A Thatcham woman, a Bramley man and a man and a woman from Tadley who were all arrested earlier this week have now been charged and named by police.

On Tuesday, June 11, officers carried out five warrants at addresses across the West Berkshire, Wokingham and Hampshire policing areas under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

Four arrests were made and yesterday (Wednesday) those four individuals were charged with a variety of offences.

Lynda Clarke, aged 45, of Oare, Thatcham, was charged with one count each of conspiring to steal a motor vehicle and conspiracy to burgle.

Brendan Banham, aged 22, of Burnam Road, Tadley, was charged with two counts of possession of a bladed/sharp pointed article in a public place, one count each of conspiring to steal a motor vehicle, burglary other than dwelling, and making off without payment.

Elena Myles, aged 29, of Burnham Road, Tadley, was charged with one count each of conspiring to steal a motor vehicle, burglary other than dwelling, and failing to comply with a section 49 notice to disclose the key to protected information.

Frankie Gregory, aged 23, of Moat Close, Bramley, was charged with one count each of conspiring to steal a motor vehicle, burglary other than dwelling, and making off without making payment.

All four individuals have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).

When the arrests were made on Tuesday, senior investigating officer DI Francesca Jarvis said: “There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to help tackle organised criminality.

“I hope that these warrants demonstrate that we take reports of burglary seriously and will take action to deal with criminality and organised crime in your local area.

“The information from the public around offences relating to burglary and theft in the Thames Valley plays an important role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation.
