Thatcham woman taken to hospital following Tesco collision
According to Ellie Gray of the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, two fire engines - one from Newbury and another from Hungerford, a total 10 firefighters - were called at 9.59am today (Friday May 25) to the car park at Tesco, Pinchington Lane.
“One person was trapped, who was rescued from the vehicle with cutting gear,” said Ms Gray.
Thames Valley Police spokesman, Adam Fisher, said police were called at 10am to the collision, involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a green Volvo S40.
“A 59-year-old woman from Thatcham was cut out of the vehicle by the fire service and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, said Mr Fisher.
Mr Fisher added the woman had been taken to hospital as a precaution.
