Thatcham's Family Fun Day event cancelled for this year

The Spring Charity Fundraisers were unable to find enough volunteers for the week day it has been rescheduled for after the initial event had been rained off.
A waterlogged pitch on Sunday, June 24 meant that the event had to be called off and the town council said it hoped they could reschedule it for a date in August.
Jane Wells from the charity said that she was disappointed that it was cancelled, as it raised a lot of money for charity, but that she expected it to be held again next year.
The fun day had been due to include the Spring Charity Fundraisers’ Junior Fun Run, shorter race for young children and a mascot race as well as Cold Ash Brass, demonstrations and free taster sessions and a tug-o-war.
