La Crayon Rouge..!
Ladies and Gentlemen…
Are your eyes keen?
Are your pencils sharp?
Be prepared for exquisite beauty made flesh with fabulous corsetry and sensual contours. Prepare yourselves to be entranced - to bear witness to a spectacle of pulchritudinous exhibitionism.
Zero Lubin and Arlington Arts present a cheeky life class on Thursday, as part of The Big Draw 2011. Yes, it's Newbury's first ever Burlesque Drawing Extravaganza.
Featuring leading performers from Bristol's cabaret circuit, with Dr Zero Lubin (aka artist Gerry King) as master of ceremonies, the evening will be fun for beginners and a challenge for practised artists.
Each pose is held for the length of a song, punctuated by poetry drawn from classic literature to the artist's own.
The ticket price (£12) includes a glass of wine on arrival to get creative juices flowing.
Some basic materials will be provided, though artists are welcome to bring their own.
Tickets are available from the Box Office on 01635 244246, online via www.arlingtonarts.co.uk and from Mary Hare Hearing Centre, Weaver's Walk, Newbury.
