The Fades writer returns to home town

Former New Era Player Jack Thorne to see his award-winning work performed in Wash Common

As the BBC's new supernatural horror, The Fades, hits our screens, Jack Thorne is well on his way to becoming the next big thing in British screenwriting but it shows the measure of a man with stardom at his fingertips that his main concern is catching up with his old friends at New Era Theatre. The former St Nicolas and St Barts pupil will be there next week to see them perform his award winning coming-of-age radio play People Snogging in Public Places and will also be giving a talk at the Wash Common theatre. Reporter Mark Taylor talks to Jack Thorne in this Thursday's N2 entertainment section of the Newbury Weekly News
