The search is on for West Berkshire junior citizen of the year

The prize is specifically for anyone aged 18 or under who lives in West Berkshire and has shown an act of bravery, helped someone in trouble, contributed to making West Berkshire a better place to live, achieved excellence in school, work, or in an outside activity.
The nominations can now be made and are being judged by a panel of independent representatives.
Chairman of West Berkshire Council, Adrian Edwards (Con, Falkland) said: "There are many young people that deserve to be recognised for their bravery, achievements or kind acts. Anyone who knows someone who deserves such recognition should nominate them as soon as possible."
Nomination forms are available at www.westberks.gov.uk/juniorcitizen where they can be completed and submitted online.
Alternatively, phone Jude Thomas at West Berkshire Council on 01635 519083 or email her at jathomas@westberks.gov.uk
The closing date for nominations is Friday, November 2.
The winner will be invited to attend a presentation at the offices of West Berkshire Council where they will be awarded a certificate of recognition and some vouchers.
