Theale Parish Council by-election to be held next week

Five candidates come forward to fill three seats

A BY-ELECTION is to be held in Theale on Thursday next week.

Five candidates – Daniel Baker, Paul Clifford, Darren Lye, Leigh Quinnell and Nigel Skinner – have put themselves forward for the three vacant seats.

The by-election follows the death of former chairman Charles Bateman earlier this year and the resignation of Nick Flint, while Barbara Jones has moved out of the area.

Voting will take place at polling stations in Theale Village Hall and the John Cumber Hall.
