Theale Primary School is 'outstanding', says Ofsted

The school, which was inspected by Ofsted in October 2012, had a previous overall rating of ‘good’, but has now improved to ‘outstanding’.
All aspects inspected, achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety of pupils and leadership and management, were all judged ‘outstanding’.
In her report, lead Ofsted inspector, Sonja Joseph said: “Achievement in the school, including in the resource-based provision, is outstanding.
“Pupils achieve extremely well and are very well prepared for the next stage in their education
“Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary in lessons, at breaktimes and around the school.
“Their overwhelmingly positive attitudes to learning make a strong contribution to their excellent progress.”
The school’s headteacher, Catherine Morley was also praised and described as an ‘inspirational leader’.
Chairwoman of the school’s governors, Penny Myers said; “I am delighted that the exceptional hard work, professionalism and commitment of Catherine Morley and all our staff have been recognised by Ofsted.
“We believe that our wonderful children deserve the very best education in the safest and happiest environment.
“I am very proud of everyone.”
