There's something strange in the skies over Lambourn...
STRANGE lights in the skies over Lambourn have had people scratching their heads this week.
Several residents posted videos of shining orbs on the online video sharing website YouTube, some of them in triangle formation, as they passed overhead.
One of those who saw them was Caz Farrell, who said the lights were "far too high and big for a drone".
No aircraft flights were reported in the area on a flight tracking website.
Some of the video clips depict shining white orbs in daylight, while others depicted glowing orbs travelling across the sky at dusk.
In one clip, three lights fly in a triangle formation.
There was a similar flap in Hungerford in 2015.
Newbury Weekly News reader Vanessa Cloete snapped this image, and many more like it, of an unidentified aerial phenomenon above her home in the Charnham Park vicinity.
Ms Cloete said at the time: "I was so fascinated I went and knocked for my neighbours.
"They couldn’t believe what they were seeing and got their camera to take stills and video images.
"The strange thing is that it seems to change shape and sometimes is surrounded by green lights and, sometimes, blue. I first saw it out of my bedroom window.”
That sighting prompted several more reports from the area during the next few weeks.
Last year the US Government made international headlines when it admitted some flying objects - dubbed UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena) – had no visible means of propulsion and appeared to defy the known law of physics.
